Baktotaal, a family-owned business with an assortment of over 10,000 baking products, has experienced impressive growth in recent years. The rise of online shopping and the success of shows like The Great Dutch Bake Off have led to a significant expansion of their operations. Together with Baktotaal, we embarked on the journey to create a new building that is both functional and representative—a true cherry on top of their success.

From Standard to Custom-Made

When we joined the project, a simple preliminary layout from the contractor was on the table. Together with Baktotaal, we revised it and transformed it into a design that perfectly aligns with their ambitions. We combined logistical efficiency with an inspiring office environment. As a result, we created a multifunctional space, including a dedicated ‘Baking Experience’ corner specifically designed for producing social media videos.

Room for Growth and Well-Being

In the design process, we focused not only on functionality but also on the people who work there. We ensured spacious work areas, abundant natural light, and playful elements such as a pinball machine and a baking corner. Together with Baktotaal, we created a work environment that enhances employee well-being while simultaneously reinforcing their professional image.
